Prank Gone Wrong! Several Twitter Users are now getting Locked out of their Accounts!

Twitter is, without a doubt, a platform where different kinds of trends and challenges can easily go viral overnight. Over the years, we have seen a ton of different challenges, both easy and difficult, but members of the Twitter have always tried to fulfill every task with full dedication.

However, this dedication has recently cost a number of users their Twitter accounts. There’s a prank going viral these days on Twitter, which urges the users to change their Twitter birthdays to 2007. In return, the users are assured of gaining admin privileges, getting new color schemes and a blue tick, denoting verification of their profiles.

Although all of it sounds too good to be true, the Twitter users were not about to pass this chance without giving their best. What ended up happening is that the challenge turned out to be a prank, resulting in several accounts getting locked out as a consequence of changing birthdays to 2007 (being under 13 years old).

What started as a prank has now turned into a major issue and even Twitter Support had to make a public service announcement through their official handle. They warned users about the prank and its consequences.

We’ve noticed a prank trying to get people to change their Twitter birthday in their profile to unlock new color schemes. Please don’t try this. We don't have different color schemes based on your birthday.
